01 · Challenge

Designers needed to build their skills and get real projects to strengthen their portfolios, while products needed designers to test and improve their brand and product design. Design roles also existed, but almost none of them were opening their doors to designers without a network already inside the industry

We built a path into paid work, not just a workshop

We designed a 2-week sprint that paired real mentorship with real products, so participants left with more than just classes

What I Did

  • Organised a 2-week design sprint in collaboration with Dacoit Design and other industry leaders
  • Built and co-managed a community of 100+ designers from across Africa and Asia
  • Designed a hands-on curriculum pairing participants with industry-leading mentors
  • Coordinated partnerships with Web3 communities and facilitated immersive, real-world design sprints across multiple live products
  • Led creative direction and content for the sprint, driving interest across a large design community
